Tune of the Week for 05/18/09 -- Dokken, This Fire
Things are settling here at the new place as we make more progress towards being totally moved in. Besides from a few things to hang on the walls and a kitchen that needs a bit of organizing, we're done. Big relief.
I'm posting another Dokken tune. The last one was good, and this one might be just a little bit better. They're from the same album. I've been considering posting at least two songs from a given CD, just so folks can get the feel for it a little better.
I was recently reading an interview with Wolf Hoffmann, guitarist for Accept, and he was talking about the guy who produced many of Accept's albums. Most recently, he produced the last two recordings of King's X (a favorite band of mine), as well as some of Dokken's albums. His name is Michael Wagener, and although his website looks like crap, he's an apparent genius. His studio is basically a barn in his backyard. Pretty cool.

Video Tune for 05/11/09 -- Pro-Pain, Substance
Yeah, so I haven't posted a tune for two weeks. I think that's the first time this has happened since I started doing this on that putrid Vox blog!
This is another tune by Pro-Pain that I like. It's got a video, anyway. We're still settling into the new place, so this is gonna be short.
